cloudfront.net

I ended up with what I belive is a virus called or tied to something called cloudfront.net. I see several internet sites telling how to manually remove it if you understand all that, but why won't my Norton take care of it?

Thanks

Sid

Welcome Sid,

Norton concentrates on infections that can do damage to your hardware and software. The other forms of malware aren't always the top priority.

This is why many of us also have

http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

and/or

http://superantispyware.com/ also free

on our desktops to run as second opinion scanners. I do it about weekly.

One of the facts of the times is that no single security product is able to protect you 100% of the time from 100% of the thousands of threats released daily.

This is also why there are specialized sites like

http://forums.whatthetech.com/
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com
http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/
http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/

which are also free and have trained volunteers who will assist you in getting your system clean again

Keep us posted
