Win.XP Sp2 - dial up - Outlook Express
------------------------------------------
question is whether if need the 360 vs. NISS 2009...if money is not an issue (there are rebates for each - difference would be about $20. between the two programs)...
some concerns - i do minimal work on the computer other than read papers, email, etc.; no downloading from websites; no banking, etc; but will download and open pictures/videos sent to me from 'trusted' sources.
"if' i choose 360, do i have the option during the install of refusing a download of any or all of the extra features called ''Tune Up''('if' i can pick/choose any or all of them, do these extras possible cause any addition taxing of 'resources' of computer ?
would appreciate any feedback and thank you in advance - Edythe

Hi EDYTHE:
For the type of use you want to get out of your computer, I would recommend NIS2009. You are not likely to need or take advantage of the additional features in N360. I find the Internet Security just as easy to set and forget as the N360. There are settings in your browser to clear cookies and temp files as well as a Windows utility in system tools.
You should not have to pay extra for software to not install the extras that you paid for. ![]()

EDYTHE,
What's the point of Buying Norton 360 when you're just going to Turn Off the P.C. Tune-Up and Back-Up, making it Norton Internet Security? I would, therefore, suggest N.I.S. 2009, and, if you wish at a later date, you can Buy Norton SystemWorks and/or Norton Utilities.
