Hello all, I´m usisn NIS 2010, engine 17.7.0.12 XP Pro Service Pack 3.
The problem is that I´ve been receiving spam from my self (viagra stuff, rolex stuff and so on) both "from" and "to" how can this be possible?
And is there any conflict with MailWasher Pro?
Thanks in advance!

HI trotter
Are you using Web Based email?

Hello trotter
It is very possible that your email account has been compromised. The first thing I would do is change your password for your email accounts. I would also ask the tech support for Mail Washer Pro that question. There is a possibility there would be a conflict since both products are supposed to be doing the same thing I think. Also, are you required by your ISP to use other email ports than the standard ones?
Success always occurs in private and failure in full view.

Hello, thanks for your replies.
I do have yahoo and gmail with no problems. only the computer based email (outlook express) is compromised. I already scanned it with NIS(all good), Malwarebytes(0 detections) and I just downloaded Superantispyware and will see.
And yes, already changed my password.
Any suggestions?
P.D.
I´m not using MailWasher Pro, may be it could help or not. I don´t know.

Hi trotter
It would seem that your address is on spam/junk mail lists that send this sort of stuff out.

HI trotter
You can try further educating your Spam and Junk email filters but you are still going to receive this stuff. From what you have indicated it does not seem to me that your email account is compromised but perhaps some others in the forums may not agree with that and may like to suggest other options to you.
Changing your email address is a lengthy and sometimes daunting procedure for most folks given the amount of people and organisations that they have to inform/change addresses with.
Just to answer a question in your first post - the To address is obviously correct but the From address has been altered/spoofed to look as though it is coming from you.
