I am not seeing any certificate issues with the site. If you are getting invalid certificate alerts it may be due to an incorrect date and time on your system. Check your system clock and retry logging into FB.

So, it was the date and time!! In the future just be aware that these certificate warnings can sometimes actually mean trouble. Although in most instances a certificate warning is due to a minor problem like the wrong system time, or a site that forgot to renew before their cert expired, a bad certificate can sometimes indicate that you are at a fraudulent site. If you were to log in, you might be handing over your password to hackers who can then access your account and cause all sorts of mayhem. A valid certificate is your assurance that you are actually at the site that is shown in your address bar, so just be cautious whenever you get a certificate warning --- it may mean that you are not at the site that you think you are. Don't log in until you have determined the cause of the certificate warning, and you know that it is safe to enter your log-in credentials on the page.
