i have changed all priviledges for hsplayer.exe no change. i am about to try it from a non real admin account. but it looks to me that norton is blocking not system rights. **bleep**! gotta solve this!

it opens a window with one click support, has a stationary round arrow. this changes to checking for updates please wait and the arrow spins this is where it stays.

Did you try rebooting your computer, running LiveUpdate, closing Norton and then trying out One Click Support several times? I checked with my NIS and it's working just fine.

ok. thanks for help. all fixed.
1) reboot safe mode. run hsplayer as admin from the exe. on failed message release ip.
2) reboot into safe mode with networking. run tool took a while. error driver config error and (the one i was waiting for) firewall config errors both resolved (ignored other errors as they were cause by safe mode.
3) reboot tool works fine with completed all scans clean message.
got it!!

Glad you got it fixed; just one question: what do you mean with "reboot tool"? Did you reinstall NIS 2010 in Safe Mode? I'm not sure I understood your solution correctly. Thanks :-D

sorry should read "reboot. tool works fine" missed the dot. my services are minimal. i run win 7 64 bit with just 37 processes and i use a registry lock.
the problem was (i think) caused by a priviledge error when the program updated itself. so i didnt get the update that you did. so i cleaned it. then updated in safe mode with networking and recieved a small update. the one click tool also resolved the issues i ws looking for.
so when i booted into normal mode everything is up to date and fine.
hope this makes sense.

stopped working again now! but i know i can run it in safe mode anyways!

Hi Yaso
Here is a screenshot of the issue. I have this happening on 3 different systems - 2 running NIS2010 and 1 running Norton 360 V4. No matter how many times "Get Support" is clicked on or the system rebooted/updated it never gets beyond this point. The issue would appear not to be corrected.

Hmmmm I'll see if I can get a name in red to have a look at this.

Thanks Yaso
Dave Coleman is aware and had contacted engineering who were investigating. Thanks again for following this up.
