i'm running the latest version of norton internet security and i have 2 identity safe profiles, 1 profile is on the hdd and 1 is on an external hdd
i want to delete the old profile which i havent used for a year or so on the external hdd, and back the other profile (internal hdd) up and put that on the external drive, i dont know how to log in to the external drive profile to delete it.
could i just manually delete the identity safe folder on the external drive?

Hi Berzek,
If you have taken back up of identity safe data from external drive, you can go ahead delete Identity safe folder
Thanks,
Senthil.

HI berzerk,
Just an added note. When senthilkumar mentioned taking a backup of the external drive, this was mentioned as a precaution in case for whatever reason you needed to restore this ID safe profile at a later time.
So yes you can delete it and then back up your other profile to the external drive to replace the old one which is currently there.
Note however that NIS 2012 does not support saving your ID safe profile to portable media such as USB drive. Instead this you can now store your ID safe information to the cloud via your Norton Account. You can still perform ID safe backups to any drive of your choice but the actual ID safe profile which will be loaded by default with NIS 2012 would either be on your system drive or in the cloud.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.

Adding to Allen post,
If we have any profile in portable device, we can convert this USB profile to local profile while setting up Identity safe.
After setting up Identity safe profile(local or Online), if we insert USB with Portable profile, We can still import the portable profile data through "Import data" option in NIS 2012
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Senthil
