hello guys,
i bought a new laptop with preinstalled norton internet security 2012. now only 30 days are left for it to expire. so i have ordered NIS 2012 online. that will be a boxed version.
so my question is that will i need to uninstall this version and install that or simply i can use the key provided with it.
and if some time in future i format my pc and then install norton, can i use the same product key? if not then what is the solution?
i have registered my laptop with norton management.

Hi gsbharaj,
No need to uninstall your preinstalled NIS 2012 - you'll just need to enter your product key for your new NIS 2012 product when the time draws near, and you'll be ready to go. If you reformat (or remove and reinstall NIS for any reason in the future, you should not have any problem with the license as long as it has not expired. If you do run into a problem later, the folks at Chat are very helpful with getting the license and the days remainiing reinstated. Dependent on what you need Chat to do - you may even be able to do it yourself using Norton Management. we'll cross that bridge when (if) we get to it.
