Re: it is happening again, Live update

It seems that only the "Norton Activity Map Data" do not download.

Same problem:  Norton activity map data

I downloaded LiveUpdate.exe, and ran it, numerous times. Same error message keeps appearing although other virus updates run as they're supposed to.

Re: it is happening again, Live update

Hi folks:

I too can confirm that it is a problem.

Hang tight.

P.S. The lack of Activity Map data is really frivolous at this point.

Iron Whitelist liveupdate continued to fail until a few minutes ago, even after the others were fixed.  All seems ok now.

Re: Live Update is Failing : 5:10 PM ET US

This problem has been going on for too long now. If it wasn't for the fact that I do not trust automatic updates and have been doing my own manual updates then I would not have known there was a serious problem.

My issue is slightly different to many of you. When I run Live Update it either gives the message 'not all updates were successful' or 'failed to complete' with red 'completed'. I don't have an issue with the Activity Map.

Seems quite ridiculous to me to say in one breath 'failed to complete' and then say 'completed'.

All the logs say completed as well. Quite stupid and very misleading.

I would be better disabling Antivirus for now and install Avast Free AntiVirus until this issue is properly resolved. I may not get all the bells and whistles that Norton provides but at least I know I will be fully protected and not be presented with information that is false and misleading.

Why can't Norton put back the Intelligent Updater service so that at least we can get the downloads and protection that are needed when things go wrong!

Update: Just ran LiveUpdate again. Lost count how many times I have applied it. Ran successfully this time.
