language choose problem

the account of Norton Internet Security chooses the language where the user live as a default language that it eleminates the right of choose of the user absolutely pushing the user to buy online letting paying the user more; infact user is profited more, because across the world there are million people live in other countries wishing to use their own language or international  English, if you find also the English verion, at moment of downloading new update or version, it will be downloaded into the same default language of the account, in my account there is Dutch version that I do not want it absolutely and I am not able to change it due to the above problem.

this is the other question why the Norton does not set virtual keyboard in order to have more security??

I would like to than oyu for the attention.

Just download it from here, install and you have the English version, working with your Dutch key :

www.norton.com/nis12

Any language key works with all languages of Norton.

If you need another language, plse let us know.

What do you mean by virtual keyboard and why should that be more secure??

Re: language choose problem

a virtual keyboard is safer that normal one confronting with keyboard legger and hackers. In a normal keyboard or that wireless one any receiver, physical device, is able to listen in or record password....meanwhile in a virtual keyboard there is not that microprocess whithin a normal keybord that send a signal up the cable connecting the keyboard and the camputer, when man taype a key on the keyboard, and so , a virtual keyboard is safer than that normal keyboard

Hi shahram,

Doesn't a virtual keyboard look like a regular keyboard to Windows, and therefore also to a properly installed keylogger?

Re: language choose problem

Yes, you can change to English by downloading the English version from :

www.norton.com/nis12

You will then download : NIS-ESD-19-5-1-2-EN.exe, where 'EN' means English version.

Then uninstall your Dutch version via Software (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista and Win7), reboot and install from the downloaded file above. The key should still be on your system and should be recognised automatically. Only sometimes you must re-enter the key and your account credentials..

You will then have the English version on your system. It's a somewhat older version, so run Live update untill there are nomore updates and you are done!

Basic rule is : you can use any (your Dutch) key with any language version of Norton.

I did it many times for foreigners here in the Netherlands, but then downloading the right language version seperately beforehand and simply applying the Dutch key.

But....when you download via your Norton account, you will always get the language version, which is in your account. So you must download it seperately from the link above if you want another language.

Yes, that's completely right, because the version in your Norton account is tied to the key you bought, a Dutch one, not to the installed language version.

Next time, if you buy an Englsh version with a new key, it will be changed to English in your account. If you buy a another Dutch license, you have to use the procedure i described, only on re-install.

If you want it changed in your account, you can always try to contact Customer Support and ask them to change your language. The most efficient way is to chat with them.

Here is the link (choose chat in the subsequent screen) :
