I have received the meta tag to insert into my site, but my hosting site will only allow for 155 characters for a meta tag. Is there a meta tag that has less characters that I can use?
My site is www.exposednature.com
Can I use an abbreviated version of this
<meta name="norton-safeweb-site-verification" content="zrpltndsdheu9ejr-82jlsr98fxnwp81hljzu4ex2

Hello mike159159,
Since you are limited by your site design program, I was going to suggest adding just the 128 character code to your keywords meta tag, but it appears you do not have that tag in place.
What you could do is to add the 128 character code as a small font text to the bottom of your page. Once done either floplot or myself can then notify the Safe Web team requesting a manual verification. Since they work quite quickly, this text would only have to visible for a day or two.
Let us know when you have done that.
Thanks!

I just went in and was able to add this meta tag:
"zrpltndsdheu9ejr-82jlsr98fxnwp81hljzu4ex2ckook6h
I hope this is what you were referring to.
Thanks.
Michael.

Hello Michael,
Unfortunately, I cannot find that code anywhere in your page source. With the web page open in your browser, right click and select "View Source" or "View Page Source" - that is how you can confirm that the tag or authentication code was uploaded.
BTW, your photography is exquisite!

Hi,
If you go to the print ordering page then hit source The meta tag can be viewed. I can only put meta tags on my print ordering page and satisfied customer page. Anyways here is the source data from the print ordering page:
</title><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /><meta http-equiv="imagetoolbar" content="no" /><meta name="description" content=""zrpltndsdheu9ejr-82jlsr98fxnwp81hljzu4ex2ck

Okay Michael, I see it there.
I shall notify the Safe Web team and see if they can work with this. Allow them a day or two to respond back to you in this thread.
Once ownership has been verified, your site will be queued for the rating evaluation.
Be sure the code remains in place until ownership is verified. Leaving the code in the meta tag will not affect your site or the visitor's experience.
Best wishes for your website!
