Wow ... thanks for the graphic ... NO ... I did not see that ... I will click on the link you provided above in this topic and try again ... thanks very much for taking the time to add that graphic to your post ... if it is at the top of the page I went to and I didn't see it because I didn't scroll up to the top, I will just absolutely die of embarrassment ... OK !! Update: The first link I clicked on was in the 'AVG root kit scan found 3 ...' topic and went to a site hosting mbam but did not have the graphic with the link to the free version ... it only showed the (shareware) version ...
The second link I clicked on just now was the one provided by Allen in this topic ... voila! Took me to malwarebytes and there was the graphic with the free version ... when I clicked on it ... I was redirected to another hosting site, which wanted me to install an active x ...
Fortunately, there was a 'click here' button, which immediately downloaded the free version ...
Thanks very much to all of you ... tin

Hi tinfoilhat:
Just in case you haven't uninstalled MBAM Pro yet, I have both NIS 2011 v. 18.5.0.125 and a paid version of MBAM Pro v. 1.50.1.1100 running on my computer.
I agree that it's unwise to have two different antivirus programs on your computer if they are both running in real-time protection mode.
However, if you go to the Protection tab on the MBAM Pro interface, you can simply disable (uncheck) the Enable Protection Mode to turn off MBAM's real-time protection. If you wish then you can go click on the Scheduler button and configure MBAM to automatically run a daily Quick Scan and/or download the updated malware definitions. I have MBAM Pro scheduled to wakeup my computer from sleep mode and run a MBAM Quick Scan every evening at 6:00 PM. This daily quick scan doesn't seem to cause any problems with NIS (i.e., I don't find it necessary to add C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to my list of NIS scan exceptions in NIS's Settings | Computer Settings | AntiVirus and Sonar Exclusions, which some people recommend to prevent NIS real-time protection from monitoring MBAM while it scans your hard drive).
This way NIS 2011 takes care of your real-time protection and handles any real-time infections, and you have the added benefit of having MBAM run a daily quick scan to look for any malware missed by NIS. I like the automatic quick scan in MBAM because it completes in less than 3 minutes and does a much more thorough scan than the 20 second "flash" NIS Quick Idle Scan.
It's a personal preference, but I think it's worth spending the lifetime fee (now $24.95 US) to Malwarebytes to purchase the Pro version of MBAM just to get the Scheduler feature to schedule daily quick scans and/or automatic virus definition updates. One of my daily MBAM quick scans actually found a registry entry for some malware on my system a few days ago that a full NIS 2011 scan didn't catch.

Hello
I would rather just save the $25.00 and just run a daily scan with the free malwarebytes and update it myself.and avoid having the extra files put into my computer and not use them and have them possibly get in the way even if not being actively used. This isn't because of any limitation on hard drive space, it's just having files installed deep into your computer and serve no purpose if they are disabled. That's my feeling. worth $25.
Success always occurs in private and failure in full view.
