norton renewal

I received an email from Norton saying that my updates have stopped, but I know that Norton is working because I renewed it last month. My question is, why would I be getting this email after I have renewed it? Thanks for any reply.

Re: norton renewal

I'm still using antivirus 2008. I know it's working, just confused as to why I would get this email. I thought at first it could be a bogus email posing as Norton.

eeeeeeeeeeek

dragonladey if your laptop or destop can take the upgrade  i would think about upgradeing too  2012 wish may fix the pro you are haveing  NAV 2008  could be out of date wish means  they may not be doing  any more updates for it   NAV  2012 has a lot more  toys  to pay with

It may be bogus ....

I don't know the 2008 version any more but check under HELP / Support and see if there is anything for checking subscription status and if so use it to see if it comes back with your 11 months remainder.

However, how did you "renew" ? Did you do it online with Norton or did you use a KEY for NAV that you purchased? If you did the latter then the Norton database will think you are still running the earlier KEY which has expired and this may be before the change that Norton made where now the Norton stops completely, does not continue on the frozen definitions.

So please tell us how you renewed and also what is the version of Windows you are using, including the Service Packs. If your keyboard has a WINKEY press it and Pause at the same time and you will find the Windows information there.
