Hey there,

That is no problem, in fact it is probably a good thing. Battlefield 3 is a very demanding game, both for the video card and the CPU, and that is uses as much as possible of the CPU is not bad, on the contrary, it improves performance. If it used like 50% of the CPU and GPU, it would run like crap.

Re: "100% of at least 1 CPU USAGE" help please

problem is when i looked at the performace tab within nortan, there was this massive spike in CPU performace for a short period of time despite playing the game for a while

i dont know what to make of all this,

i might just wait and see what other forum members say about this error message

It's not an error message, but an informational message.

If you do not experience any problems with the game, you don't have to worry about it.

Hi VOGNAL:

Welcome to the Norton forum.

Bombastus is correct.  Given the hardware specs for your machine, I don't think you have to be concerned about a performance alert on one of your processors.

Many gamers in the forum dislike these performance alerts.  If you don't want to disable the pop-ups altogether you can configure them just to create a log in your security history (Settings | Miscellaneous Settings | Performance Monitoring | Performance Alerting | Log Only) or create an alert exclusion for BF3.exe (Settings | Miscellaneous Settings | Performance Monitoring | Programs Exclusions | Configure) so that you don't get alerts while playing Battlefield3.

I have 3 GB of RAM and a 1.83 GHz DuoCore processor and I often get a CPU performance alert from NIS when I install software or defrag my hard drive.
