Hi Bobt36,
Thanks for taking the time to confirm that the issue does not occur with Firefox.
Your issue was passed along to Symantec and I trust that there will be a response after the weekend.

If you see by my first reply to you, I notified the Symantec staff on Friday. Now with it being the weekend there may be a delay.
As you may have noticed from other posts, different employees work on / design individual aspects of the total program, and like the rest of us, they need a day or two off. Even though you will see Symantec folks logged on here almost 24 / 7, if they do not have the technical expertise to address a particular issue they will defer answering until the expert in that particular facet of the program can look at it.
Thanks for all the research you have done and also for your patience.

Yeah I understand, its expected that there isn't as much activity over the weekend.
I was just trying to provide as much information as possible to make ya jobs easier, I know how it can get when everyone suddenly goes "WAAA theres a problem!" but then give no information on actually whats wrong to help ya solve it lol.
As said cheers for notifying em anyways, will see how it goes. At least it looks like things are ok and it works fine in firefox. :)

Hello,
Can you please confirm if the issue still persists? We have investigated and determined this is a false positive. Updated virus definitions have already been published which contain the correction. If you still trigger the Downloader.Swif.C detection, we'd appreciate if you could provide the exact steps to recreate. Feel free to send me a private message with the instructions if necessary.

Yes, it still exists, I too am having the same problem exactly as described by the OP. All I do is access any of my mybrute characters and the message continues to pop-up.

Hi there, thanks for the quick response!
I've had a check and the issue now seems to be resolved, I was able to play a few games on MyBrute no problem in both IE and FF. It was a bit slow but that was probably cause it had to rechache all the temp files and that was probably just the browser being stupid anyways. I've ran a Norton quickscan and done a specific scan on my Temp Internet Files folder and it didn't pick up anything either.
So yeah the intrusion alert issue now seems to be fixed, glad it was just a false positive, I'll inform the rest of the internets. Thakyou. :)
Derek and anyone else still getting the alert, I'd advise ya to try running Symantec Live Update in ya AV program to make sure ya have the lastest definitions with the fix in and then check it.

When I try using the Live Udate it tells me I have the latest updates, therefore I'm still getting the same error. Is there some way I can manually try and get my Norton AV Corporate Edition to stop being so corporate and actually ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING!?!?!
Sooooooooooooooooooo frustrating.....................
