Only Compressed Files have the option to remove automatically or not. Look under your settings.
Real Time Protection = NIS 2009 + NAT
Behavior Analysis = Threatfire
On Demand = MBAM

It is in case the Internet Threat has Infected one of your Programs and, if it were to be Removed, would cause your Program, e.g. Windows Live Messenger, not to work so the Internet Threat would be Quarantined to stop it Spreading.

Hi Floating_Red

So I will leave as is "turned off" position,I was checking as I have only had NIS 2009 since Friday and I could not remember whether it was on green or not:smileyhappy:Its under computer>settings >under compressed file scan.Takes awhile to get used to these things especially when you don't know about PC's.

Hello, mo.

It is up to you, but you are Safe with it Off; Off is the De-fault position.

Hi mo,

Here is a link with a screenshot of how the default settings should look. It was posted by Lisa K of Symantec.
