I want to renew my Norton Internet Security subscription, but the auto renewal is stopped with a message "Norton Internet Security could not start your default Web browser. Please verify that you have a web browser installed." I can't find any menu to set my default browser. It's super irritating. please advise.

Hello bonglen and welcome!
I'm sorry to hear of your problem. Can you tell which browser you use as your default for everyday use?
Thanks!

Hi bonglen,
By any chance did you have Google Chrome browser installed and then uninstall it? Just asking because there is a problem where uninstalling Google Chrome does not properly restore a default browser. The following thread has details on that.
Otherwise if you want IE as your default browser you can go to Tools > Internet Options and then click the Programs tab. At the top of this window you can click on Make Default to make IE the default browser.
Also what version of NIS do you have? You can find this from Support > About. And what version of Windows and SP (service pack) do you have and is it 32 or 64 bit?
Best wishes.
Allen

If IE is already set as the default browser, then you may need to follow the steps in the support article:
