I purchased norton anivirus online and downloaded the installer. I have not been able to activate my account or cancel my purchase to buy a norton cd from a store.
When reading the 3 step instructions there is a window which should pop up with text asking if you want to click contiue. This screen does not display at all. I have tried numerous times to download norton.
Assistance would be helpful.
Thank you

Hello gabriel
Welcome to the Norton Community Forum
Can you please tell us about your computer? What operating system and what service pack are you using please? Do you have any other real time security program installed now.? What was your previous security program and how was it removed? Thanks.

Hello gabriel
Do you have the product key for the new NAV 2011 which you want to install? I believe your problem may be due to the fact that you may still have the expired Norton product in your computer. This can cause problems especially if a different Norton product has expired.
If you have the NAV 2011 product key, I would recommend that you uninstall all Norton products using the control panel method and then reboot.
Since you are having a problem installing your NAV 2011, I would recommend the use of the Norton Removal Tool which will remove all Norton products from your computer.. After you use that, then you can get a clean install of NAV
Please download and save the Norton Removal Tool to your desktop
Please save to your desktop NAV 2011. You will be able to use your product key to activate NAV.
You can download the Norton Removal tool from
http://www.symantec.com/symnrt
Please pick the proper Norton product that you want to remove. Also please be aware that it will remove all Norton products, so back up Identity Safe using the program to back that up. Also please have your product key handy.
Thank you Allen for new link
Please run the removal tool 2 times with a reboot after each run
Then please run NAV 2011 and enter the product key when requested
Please remember to run live update to get all the updates that are necessary and reboot after that.
I am assuming that you purchased your NAV 2011 from a reputable place so that your product key is a valid one.
Please come back and let us know if this has helped. Thanks.

Hello gabriel
Thanks for coming back and giving us an update. I'm glad that you were able to get NAV installed and activated. I hope you are using a good firewall since NAV 2011 has no firewall in it at all. Thanks also for marking the thread solved so that others will be able to find the solution.
