It should be in your Control Panel to uninstall

Re: the trojans have attacked! gen, gen.2, zeroaccess, zeroaccess.b

It wasn't listed under programs when I went through the control panel and it wasn't under all programs when I clicked the start button. I finally found it through local disk C >program files>trend micro titanium. I tried to open the file and see if there was an uninstall option but opening the original file just opened another and another and another until the last one said it was empty :smileyfrustrated: so I sent it to the trash bin. would that be enough to get rid of it all?

It shows in the uninstall list as

"{ABBD4BA9-6703-40D2-AB1E-5BB1F7DB49A4}" = Trend Micro Titanium

Oh Well

You also need to uninstall

"ESET Online Scanner" = ESET Online Scanner v3

I have to script for the rest.

I have uninstalled the Eset scanner. That one showed up on the uninstall programs list;  I wonder why that trend micro didn't.

Disable Norton for say 30 minutes

Start OTL,   under   Copy and paste the custom script attached which you open in for instance Notepad,(include the : at the start of :OTL and all the way to the end / bottom)  and run the script. (Red Run Fix Button)

The output log, should be placed in the C:\ _OTL folder after.

I am not doing your system,  You have used advanced programs on your own without guidance, using instructions for another user,  Good luck with the rest seeing as you can use advanced programs.

Bye

[ Edited ]

I am not touching your system,  used advanced programs on your own and ignored the warnings over the use of the programs but gone on your own.

So Good Luck removing the multi infection,  You went out on your own,  user that knows better.

"......now it won't boot at all. I have downloaded, per your sugestion in the past, frst.exe, ran the scan, and saved frst.txt file. "

I have not told you to do or run anything you did this yourself, like "I know what to do'  You FAILED

I know why NPE did what it has done, but I am not doing anything as you failed at what not to do, and ignore instructions.
