I want to unplug the network cable and turn off NIS 2011 for a while so that some other software can run with no interference.
Cant see how to turn the thing off. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi,
you can not turn it off totally, that can be done only with an uninstall.
What you can do it turn on Silent Mode, and turn off Auto-Protect and the Smart Firewall. All of this can be done from the system tray Norton icon (right click on it) by the clock.
Let us know if this helped you.
