Welcome,
The year of protection that your purchased started when you activated your product. You didn't mention what the other product is. It would be very helpful to know before attempting to advise of any possible solutions.
Thanks

Hi,
You can remove the Norton product but that will not suspend the time. If you did not purchase the other product I'd recommend removing that one and keeping Norton [yes, I'm prejudiced].
You may be able to work something out with customer support via their chat line found here: http://www.norton.com/chat that will allow you to suspend the clock on your installed product. No promises.
Keep us in the loop
