Hello 22428682

Welcome to the Community

What gave you an error when you tried to install it? Which year of NIS do you have installed? Thanks.

Hi

If you are trying to uninstall and reinstall NIS try the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool

If you are trying to Remove NIS and want to install another Norton product then use Norton Removal Tool

Hi 22428682:

We would like to know the error message and NIS version, as floplot posted above.

However, if you are in a rush and just want to uninstall NIS newer than 2005 may I also suggest this option...

Open the Control Panel and click on Add/Remove Programs (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista/7)

Uninstall NIS 2012 from the list. You will be prompted to remove All User Data - click on that. Then reboot.

Download the Norton Removal Tool located here and save it to your Desktop.

Run the NRT and finally reboot. You should be good to go.

Let us know how you do if at all possible. :smileyhappy:

Thanks,
