I noticed this item in the following path
C:\ProgramData\Norton
there is an item NUA
and then a folder that starts {086A63.....}
the NUA.exe is digitally signed by symantec
Both appear to be added on 12/14/09 when I ran an update
Never had a folder "Norton" in program data before (Symantec folder yes, but not one labled Norton)
(Yes, still using NAV2008)
I suspect strongly that these are ok, but just curious as to what they are for and if anyone else received this recently?

also, when I accidentally clicked on the NUA.exe item, it created a document (telementry?) that appeared in the
C:\PrograData\Norton
I deleted that document, will that be a problem that I deleted the created document ? Let me be clear, the document was not there prior to my clicking the item NUA.exe. So I'm assuming the document was not part of the original set of items.

NUA.exe is a legitimate Norton process. It is a update notifier for those using older versions that a newer version of their Norton Product is available.

Thanks Phil.
I knew it had something to do with updating, but I thought it was for sigs or defs
So I assume the document that I deleted, my delete action will will have no ill effect on my system?

indeed he did. Only question I have left is can I delete this item , delete the whole folder Norton in C:\ProgramData\
But I bet that would just be asking for unecessary trouble

I would just leave the folder in place.
It should not affect your computer.
