I have, from the suggestions on this forum, tried to find out how to get to my pwd, that I seem to have forgot. The buddy suggested, was he or she one listed on my contacts list when I activated the function or could he or she be a newer? Is a buddy here some one listed only in NMS, in contacts list or both? My memory isn't that of my youth anymore and I have very faint recollection of the activation. In my laziness I probably didn't write the pwd down or I might have done that but have lost it's whereabouts. I have come to the insight that my pwd will be needed quite instantly if my phone has gone locked lost or stolen. Meaning I would very much like not having to go through this procedure then.
If there were instructions of the activation progress available I might have recreated it in my memory and used the proper procedure therefore. (Suggestion maybe) This couldn't in my opinion in any aspect be secret information.

As I understand the problem - you cannot remember your password but Norton Mobile Security (NMS) is not locked i.e. you are just trying to recall your password against the day you will need it.
If this is the case then I suggest that you do the following. Un-install NMS(this does not require a password). Go to the Android Market and re-install NMS. This time when you set up Anti-Theft make a careful note of the new password you set (remembering that it is case sensitive) and set up at least two buddies. The buddies are selected from a list of your existing contacts, so just choose a couple of people who you are likely to be able to contact and who can send SMS messages from the phone numbers you select.
If I misunderstood your problem then try explaining again and I will see what I can do.
