I work for a small company in their IT department and one of our phone users wanted a Droid Pro instead of our usual blackberries. To keep his info safe, we decided to try out Norton Mobile Security LITE. The problem is that when he sets up the anti-theft portion, in particular setting up a "buddy." When it brings up his contacts to add a buddy, it won't go past the intial "please wait..." dialog box. (Testing it on my personal Droid 2, it says "please wait..." for a few seconds, then lists my contacts.) Is this some issue with just the Droid Pro?

Do you know what version of Android is on his device? Is this device managed somehow? What about any other security or app/service management apps on the device?

It's running what I believe is stock for the phone, the version # is 2.2.1. Also, there are no other security app involved, the only non-stock apps on it are just games (angry birds, etc).

We'll need to get logs to determine what's going on. Are you familiar with catlog?

You would need to install that app, set it to record verbose logging. Once done, let me know how big the log file is and send me a private message and I'll let you know how you can send that log to me.
