I have an HTC desire and have installed Norton Mobile security.
I have allocated 2 numbers that can lock the phone if they SMS a name to the phone.
The problem is that if each of these people ring me it also locks the phone and it cancels/locks my Bluetooth setting in the car.
I now can't find where I had allocated these two numbers but ideally I would like it to work properly.
Anyone who could help P l e a s e!

Hi jerryb.
Welcome to the Community.
I assume that you are using the latest version of Norton Mobile Security. It might help if you give us the version number and whether you purchased it from Google Play (the Android Market as was) or downloaded the app directly from Norton.
However, as to the problems I would be very surprised if the phone locking and bluetooth issue is related to NMS as a normal phone call even from someone designated as a "buddy" in NMS should do neither of these things.
You say "I have allocated 2 numbers that can lock the phone if they SMS a name to the phone." This is not a feature I recognise in NMS. What NMS does have is the facility to set up a number of "buddies" who can unlock your phone should it be locked and should you forget the password. They can do this by sending a SMS message containing just the word "unlock" (without the quotation marks) from their designated phone to your locked phone. There is also a way to lock your phone remotely by sending an SMS message "lock password" - where "password" represents your NMS security password. However a normal phone call from any phone should not cause your phone to lock. When you say it locks, what exactly happens and how do you unlock it?
If you do want to change your "buddies" then you will need to open the NMS app and select the "Set Up Anti-Theft" option, then select the SMS Anti-Theft status, after entering your password you will have the opportunity to "Change Buddies".
Should you believe that NMS has in some way become corrupted you could try running a "live update" or uninstall and then after restarting the phone re-install the software. Your old license should still be recognised.
I hope some of this helps and look forward to hearing back from you.

Guru, I followed your last advice and uninstalled the program and re installed it (all from the norton url). The problems as indicated seem to have disappeared, Great! The program has diffirences from what I originally had on my HTC, I say it has been updated. Thank you for your prompt reply. Hoooroo Guru!
