Hello Support! I had a paid full version of Norton Mobile, on my HTC Raider. In an attempt to resolve an issue with another software app, I was advised to perform a factory reset of my device. I had attempted (according to instructions from HTC) to save app related data, to my SD card. Howver, this appears not to have happened; at least - not in any usable form. I've been able to access what wastranzferred; and theremay not be anything there to get at. I have a "Lite" version, re-iinstalled. How can I get this reverted back to my paid full version, please? It would have been paid for, through my Market app, wipth/via my gmail account. If you need to send a new copy only to my gmail, I can get it there:[Removed]
I'll monitor this E-mail for news of a response; and news (hopefully) of when I can find access to afull copy, via my gmail. Thank you for your help.
Regards,
Wilfrid Knewstubb.

Hi airwolf.
Sorry to hear of your problems.
First I should say that I have asked a moderator to remove your email address from the post as it is not going to do you any good here and it does not seem a good idea to leave your name and email address around for anyone to pick up. I hope you do not mind.
Next I want to clarify something. If you had the paid version of Norton Mobile Security from the Android Market it should have left some data on your SD card that in theory would have allowed you to pick it up again from the Market. Have you done anything to your SD card other than trying to copy some data onto it?
But to get to the problem. I suggest that your best approach would be to contact Norton Chat online. This is free, should be speedy and normally leads to a quick and satisfactory outcome. You can get to it through the link here. Just scroll down the page until you see "Chat Now", click on that and let them know what has happened. To make this work as smoothly as possible it would be sensible if first ,you made a note of when you originally bought the app (can you check from credit card details or similar) and any other details that you have. With luck they will be able to sort you out.
Should they suggest that you change over from the version obtained from the Android Market to the one downloaded from the Norton Servers and activated with a pass code they I would accept their suggestion. This will come with a slightly different version number but should work just as well and is easier to reinstall if anything goes wrong.
If this does not work please come back and let us know. But for that matter please come back and let us know whatever happens.
Good luck and be careful about taking HTC advice in future. ;-)

Hello Andmike,
Thank you very much, for looking out for my interests! You make a very good point, re name & E-mail address being publicly viewable!! I should have been a lot more careful; and I usually am about things like that!
When I performed the factory reset, I'm not aware I did anything to the SD card. If something got transfered to the SD card by an app, it should still be there. I'm just not sure how to get at it. I would have thought the "Lite" version should have a way of accessing a code, from an SD card. There would not seem to be a way to do this; at least - I haven't found it yet!
I will follow your Norton Chat link, and see what they can do to help me. Thanks for your time! I'll come back to this thread, when I know how this Chat option works.

Hello Andmike,
Just a follow-up... I got onto a Chat with Norton; as suggested. They were able to setup a new purchase order for me (something they apparently needed to do, in order to give me another product key). I didn't have to pay again; I was able to locate and forward them, a copy of the E-mailed purchase receipt. I am now setup with a new "full version" copy. Apparently, for future reference...if I access my "Norton Account", I can find product key again. (IF I ever have to reset my device, again.) Thanks for all your help!
