NEW DROID VIRUS

NMS didn't detect a temple run application that was malware... It installed a large number of widgets and had full phone access. I'm assuming its new and hopefully Norton will pick up on it quick

It also wasn't the actual game. It just gave a countdown to when the game will be released.

Hi Bizness.

Thanks for the alert.  To help Norton and the rest of us can you give some details of the precise name of the app and where you found it?

A friend of mine downloaded it in the android market, under apps. Name: Temple Run Fan

It seems it was removed and then placed back onto the market. Yesterday it had over 1,000 downloads (with some negative reviews), today it doesn't even have 100.

Thanks for the information Bizness.  We definitely work on updating our definitions as quickly as we can.  I'm looking into what sort of submission process is available.

Re: NEW DROID VIRUS

I've confirmed that you can submit any item using our normal submission portal.  The important part here will be describing how to get the file if you are unable to extract a copy of the APK.  The submission portal is here:

Re: NEW DROID VIRUS

Temple run is not even for android yet so any app that claims to be so is probably malware
