NMS "Update?" (PAID Version vs Google Play FREE Version)

I'm getting Update Notices on my Android phone, which when clicked on take me to the Google Play store (Version 3.0.0.692).

 

The Google Play store version is FREE.  The version on my phone (Version 2.5.0.420) is a PAID version.

 

I don't understand what I'm supposed to do!  Do I want to replace my PAID version with the FREE version on Google Play?  That doesn't make any sense.  So confusing!

 

Please advise what in the world is going on, if you would.  My 2.5.0.420 still has 309 days left on the subscription.  Thanks.

I wasn't aware the version on Google Play (3.0.0.692) was replacing the PAID version on my device--and apparently, that is the case.

 

Anyway, I followed the instructions in the post below (URL) and Version 3.0.0.692 seems to be working fine--problem solved.  Thank you.
