Not a problem. I just wanted to confirm how you were getting to the page.

Eric, I don't understand. On my home page at the middle bottom, there are 3 icons: the telephone icon, the Android Apps Page icon, and the browser icon (a globe). If I tap on the Globe Icon, type in the download page URL, and perform the search, I cannot get to the download page. I get a google response page of URL's for Norton Mobile Help and Norton Help.
However, if I tap on the Google App icon on the Android Apps Page and type in the download page URL, I get to the download page. I can't seem to resolve this, so I'm leaning towards not worrying about it. It just bothers me that there may be a subtle problem in my phone firmware that could cause problems later on.
Anyway, thanks for all your help. I consider my original problem resolved.

It's the difference between searching and navigation. In the first you're describing searching which has been happening due to the redirect for that URL. I'm working on correcting that, but it's taking some time. The second description is navigation as opposed to searching.
It's hard to go further without using the same device.

Eric, what was I thinking? I haven't used a mobile phone very long and I didn't pay attention into which box I was typing the information. That resolved, I have one last question.
The installation file (.apk) is still located in the "download" directory. Is it OK to delete it, now that the installation is complete; or should I leave it there.
Again, thanks for all your help!

No worries. Part resolution and part information. Mobile is a new world for many and there are always opportunities for better understanding. Now that you've installed the file, you can definitely delete the APK if you want. You can always redownload it later if you need to reinstall the App for any reason.

Well, I'm back. You may remember me in a recent post "Renew NMS 2.0 Qusetions". To refresh, I purchased a new NMS 2.5 Package from Staples (again), unstalled my current version from my cell phone, and downloaded the new .apk file as instructed with the new instructions.
When I ran the .apk file (named NortonMobileSecurity-102.apk) it installed properly, then went out to the licensing site, recoginzed I have 2 days left on my license, and then ran sucessfully - it did not prompt for the new license number. I cannot find any way to update my new license number running the NMS application. The problem is that I will be going on vacation tomorrow evening and I wanted to register my new license number so I wouldn't have to deal with all this registration stuff for another year.
I'm wondering whether I will be prompted to enter the new license number once my current subscription runs out? Or whether I will have to uninstall the application again and re-run the .apk file once my current subscription expires. I will not have access to a computer while on vacation and do not relish trying to solve this only using my phone.
Thanks for your help!

Hi velasque.
Welcome back. Glad to see you are still a Norton supporter!
Don't worry. When the current license runs out NMS will tell you so. Then, just open the app and you will see a "Renew Now" bar at the bottom of the screen. Hit that, and it will contact the license server and give you details of your expired license. At the bottom of that screen you should see two buttons; "Activate" and "Exit". Hit the former and you get a window to enter your new activation code, fill it in and then hit the "Submit" button.
That should have you sorted for another year.
Best to make sure you have a good data connection when you do the renew. I would recommend a good strong WiFi connection.
Do let us know how you get on, as often a report of a successful action can be just as useful (or even more so) than a failed action.
Have a great holiday!
