I installed NMS full version to my HTC Flyer and do not have a password available for unlock. Additionally, my 1 buddy user cannot send me the "unlock" code because that phone number is a China based number that does not have international messaging send capabilities. Is my only option a full factory reset of the device?

Hi njsantana
Welcome to the Norton Community Forums. ![]()
Have you tried all the possible passwords that you could have used for something
like the NMS Anti-Theft features setup .?
I ask this because a password has to be entered correctly twice when setting up
the NMS Anti-theft features and then the buddy or buddies are added after the
password setup.
Try all your passwords, upper case and lower case as long as you did not change
the Anti-Theft default settings. Which if you changed the 10 incorrect password attempts
and enabled it 10 incorrect attempts to unlock the device with the password will wipe
the device, by default this setting is disabled.
If you have no luck with the password can your buddy gain access to international
messaging to assist you by them contacting their service provider, and setting up
the international messaging service.?
If none of that works the last thing is a hard reset using the tablet keys. Included
in this post is a link for the instructions on how to carry out a hard reset on the
HTC Flyer.

That is all i could really think of to assist you with this issue, good luck.

Edit- NOTE the hard reset will wipe everything.
