Re: Unlocking phone without password or buddie

[ Edited ]

Hi RodneyLiddell

Welcome to the Norton Community Forums.:smileyhappy:

What if you take the sim out of the locked phone and put it into a friends

mobile or a spare mobile phone as this sim and number is set as the buddies

number to unlock the phone protected with Norton Mobile Security.

And with the locked mobile phone purchase a sim starter pack from one of

the mobile phone companies and activate it with your spare mobile or a friends

mobile phone.

Then put the new sim in the locked mobile and send the sms message unlock

from the friends mobile or spare phone to your locked device and that should

get you out of trouble.

Make sure the new sim is activated and put into locked phone and the origianl

sim which has the number set as the buddies in the norton Mobile Security

Anti-Theft Setttings is in the unlocked phone(spare or friends mobile)

Don't forget the sms message to send is unlock

Then you will be asked to set up a new password or pin when the locked phone

recieves the message and unlocks.

Let us know how you go.

Cheers.:smileywink:

EDIT- It does not matter what mobile number or sim is in the mobile device when

it is locked and recieves the remote command to unlock. As long as the remote

command or sms message   unlock   comes from a mobile number set as a buddy

in the Norton Mobile Security Anti-Theft settings and that the message   unlock

is sent to the correct mobile number of the sim that is in the locked mobile phone. :-)

Hope that helps.:smileyhappy:
