Is there any Security Suite like NIS or something similar for Windows Phone 7.5 or rather for any Windows Phone from Norton!!!???

Not currently, as Microsoft has never been able to do smartphones well enough to earn a significant market share. But they've made it clear with where they're taking the whole Windows OS that that's going to change, so I believe it's up there with iOS at the top of the list for OS support to add (and Microsoft is almost certain to be more forthcoming than Apple about their APIs, so you might actually get your version first!

Can't speak for Symantec, of course. Just an assessment from a humble user....

DistEd2 is right. Nothing currently, but we'll continue to evaluate our options as we look to expand platform support.

Hi MehuBhai,

I think that has to be a commercial decision for Norton.  There are a wide range of mobile operating systems and they appear to be evolving fairly fast.  Norton has picked on one and appears to be trying to do its best to produce a slick and useful product.  We know that they are looking at the other systems but the rate at which they change, their market penetration, the level of risk associated with them and the openness of the developers will all have an influence on how desirable/easy it is for Norton to get a viable product going.

I'm sure they would like to have a product for every platform but the best I can suggest is that you keep your eye on this forum occasionally and then you should become aware as soon as they do bring out any new versions.

Do you not think now that the number of new Windows Phone offerings from Dell, Nokia, HTC, Smasung, etc., & sales picking up slowly but steadily, it's high time Norton thinks about including Windows Phone OS in their Norton Mobile Security Platform.

It's nice that there are a good number of Windows Phone offerings.  That said, the decision to support this platform will be based on users and not number of devices.  We are continuing to work on a number of Apps.  Stay tuned for a good number of Apps in the coming months.
