So I had a different antivirus and it used to take a couple minutes and would scan like 20000 files but norton takes like 20 secs and scans 178 items what the diff items files why is norton faster.loving norton by the way very good

Welcome to the Community.

Glad you are impressed with Norton, we like it as well (and most of us are not Norton employees!).

I suspect the reason why Norton reports fewer files scanned is that it is not scanning your SD card.  If you choose to include your SD card in the Norton scan it will take longer.  Should you wish to do this select Menu: Anti-Malware: and then tick the "Scan SD Card" box before hitting the "San Now" button.

Should you choose to try this I hope you find the result satisfactory.  ;-)

I have my sd card added to the scan its still faster then the other antivirus thanks for answering
