hello.
i have just purchased and installed norton mobile security on an arnova 8g2 tablet. it wasn't until after i bought it i realised a lot of the features are only applicable if your tablet has 3g which mine doesn't. i have a few questions if thats ok.
'
1. does this still protect my tablet even though i don't have 3g?
2. is this version actually giving me anything i wouldn't have got with the version you can download for free?
3. is it safe enough to do online shopping on my tablet, if i have this version of norton mobile security and am just using with wi fi and not 3g?
many thanks

Hello geordie.
My first thought on reading your post is that you have been miss-sold the product as the product you seem to have wanted is Norton Tablet Security (which is designed to work on tablets without SMS etc.). Norton offer a very good refund policy and in most cases, if you have had the product for less than 60 days they will give you a full refund if you uninstall it. So you might like to think of that option.
To try and answer your questions:
1 - Yes
2 - With the full paid version you can then obtain and install the Norton Anti-Theft plugin which allows you to track your phone, lock it etc over an internet link (assuming you use WiFi to do your internet shopping etc..). It does also have other features on the paid app that should work on your device.
3 - NMS should give you the same protection for online shopping that Norton Tablet Security would give you.
I hope that helps. Feel free to come back.
Good luck.

hi, thanks for your reply. the box does say suitable for phone or tablet pc.
i was a bit worried as it seems to say on a lot of the features 'only if 3g enabled' but as long as it protects me online i don't mind as purchased for only 13.99 in a store. have only ever shopped online on my desktop pc that has norton internet security installed but would like to be able to do so on my tablet but am not very confident to do so.
