Re: unable to reactivate nms after doing a factory reset

Hi basivireddy

Welcome to the Norton Community Forum.:smileyhappy:

If you had Norton Mobile Security paid full version from Google Play Store

and have carried out a factory reset you will have to contact the freindly

team at Norton Support Live Chat for free.:smileyhappy:

Norton Support Live Chat Link

Just follow the steps and fill in the required info and select Chat Now.  :-)

They will be able to resolve the issue for you. Explain what has happened

with your device, and make sure you have the Gmail email which would be

the Google receipt for the purchase of Norton Mobile Security upgrade from

the Google Play store or previously known as the Android Market.

But if you purchased NMS from the Norton Online Store or from a retail store

you will have to download the apk file and install and activate NMS the servers

should regognise the device and show the remaining subscription or re-enter

the product key. Click on the link below to download NMS apk from the Norton

servers-

Let us know how you go.:smileyhappy:

Cheers.:smileywink:

Re: unable to reactivate nms after doing a factory reset

Hi basivireddy.

First I should point out that neither I nor smithy work for Norton.  We are just users of the software who try to help others.  So our knowledge is limited and there is nothing on "our" servers.  The software is likely to be on Norton Servers.  That said, Norton staff do also patrol these forums so if someone with thick red text for their user name responds they will be Norton staff.

Now on to try and help with your issue.  I have no experience of a Norton Mobile product that renews every month so your software may be slightly different from what I am used to and you may need to contact whoever supplied it and bills you every month.

You have also appear to have said that you have downloaded the software from Google Play and, Norton Servers.  You need to have only one on your phone, not both as they are different.  Where did you get the original software from and when?

If you are expected to enter a registration key then it sounds as if you should not be using the Google Play version.

If you are able to enter a code then it sounds as if  you have succeeded in loading a version from the Norton Servers.  Why the code is not being accepted I cannot tell, but are you sure that it is the same code that you entered before?  Sometimes people get confused between registration codes, version numbers etc.  Do you have the original receipt/registration documents?  Do these help?

Can you tell us the length and format of your registration code?  (Naturally you should not post the actual code here.)

As you appear to be paying monthly for the software (possibly as part of a package) then probably your best course of action is to contact the people you are paying and say that if they cannot help you will have to stop paying.

Not sure if that helps.  Please do come back, hopefully to tell us that all is resolved but if not we will continue to try and help.

Re: unable to reactivate nms after doing a factory reset

The version that allows you to pay monthly is from Samsung Apps. Run Samsung Apps, sign into your Samsung Account. Re-download and install Norton Mobile Security. You may get a 90 day fully functional trial. When you activate the license on this version, it gives you the option to either pay monthly or transfer licence. Transfer licence enables you to enter your Activation Key.
