Norton Mobile Utilities Public Beta

It’s with great pleasure to announce that Norton Mobile Utilities Lite has been posted to Google Play.  We’ve taken the Beta App and redesigned the main User Interface around a set of major features. The functionality in the beta version of NMU is now in NMU Lite. The version information for this posting is 2.0.0.232.

NMU Lite is a free App that provides the following features:

Battery Saver – Monitor the breakdown of what Apps, services, or features on your device are using Battery.

Performance – View the CPU, Memory, and Network usage of per each App or service on your device in real-time.  Kill an individual App or All Apps

Overage – Keep track of cell phone voice, SMS texting, and data usage and be alerted when you’re in danger of going over your plan.  Turn off your data connection to prevent further mobile data usage.

App Manager – Install Apps from your SD Card.  Uninstall one or multiple Apps.  Clear Cache of any or all App on your device.  Move an App to your SD Card.

You can also upgrade to the paid version of Norton Mobile Utilities for the following:

Battery Saver – 3 pre-configured Profiles to help extend your battery life.  You can create multiple custom Profiles.  Choose a profile to start saving battery life as well set a profile to start when your battery reaches a certain percentage.  You can choose for NMU to automatically make this change or to be alerted first. 

Performance – Access to AutoTaskKilling.  Choose between several frequencies of Task Killing.  AutoTaskKiller will kill all background tasks. 

Overage – Keep track of your roaming phone voice, SMS texting, and data usage.
