Norton Mobile started couting Mobile data usage incorrectly with .104 update. WiFi may be fine as it reads 1.4GB from 6/9 till today. But Mobile reads 5.2GB and Verizon Wireless reports 0.333GB as of a few minutes ago. Whew! I got a little scare with Norton's reading. It jumped a few days ago up to 4GB and today shows over 5 now. I greatly limit 4G LTE service. NMU used to report a much more accurate figure.

A couple questions. Are you using the Widget for these numbers or going into usage? Could you provide the following information:
Device Make and Model
From Settings > About Phone, the following information:
Model number
Android version
Baseband version
Kernel version
Build number
We will likely need to collect some logs from you as well. Are you familiar with using the CatLog app? It's mentioned quite a bit in multiple threads in the NMU board.

I am not using the widget but rather Usage. Model #: SCH-I905; Android ver: 3.2; Basband ver: i905.02 V.EL01 SCH-I905.EL01; Kernel ver: 2.6.36.3 se.infra@SEI-28 #1; Build #: JTJ85B.EL01.SCH-I905.EL01
I am not familiar with catlog. I have downloaded app. What do you need from the app? It has options save, send, record, etc.
Thank you for your assistance!

Thanks for that information. What we'll need is the following:
Record what NMU says the data used is
Open CatLog
Set it to record and make sure "verbose" is chosen
Open an item that will use some of your data connection (the connection type in question) - you're recreating the issue here
Stop the recording in Catlog
Choose "send" > As attachment to yourself
Record what NMU is showing
If you have it, it would be great to know what your carrier shows used as well.
Send me a private message with the size of this log file. I'll give you my email address where you can send me the before and after amounts that NMU show. Once I have this I'll have the team take a look into this.

I did as requested related with catlog. However, I tried with 4G & WiFi. Both seem to register usage properly at this time. The Mobile (3G/4G) data has not shot up like it did this past week. Thank you again for your assistance.

Thanks for the update. Do please let us know if you notice something like this happening again and we would be more than happy to look at logs if it does.
