Norton Mobile Security 2.5 brings you the ease of using the Anti-Theft features through the Web as well as using a text message (SMS).

To use the Web Anti-Theft feature, you need to install the Norton Anti-Theft plug-in. If you have a valid license of Norton Mobile Security 2.5, you are entitled for a free license of Norton Anti-Theft. You can download and install the Anti-Theft plug-in from the Android Market.

To set up Web Anti-Theft:

1. Start the Norton Mobile Security app.
2. Tap Set Up Anti-Theft.
3. Under Web Anti-Theft Status, tap Download Add-on.
4. Tap Launch Market to download the Norton Anti-Theft plug-in.
   When the download finishes, the installation starts automatically.
5. Tap Install.
6. When the installation is complete, tap Open.
7. Type your Norton Account email address and password, and then click Sign In.
8. Type a name for your device, and then tap Register.
9. Tap Next.

Web Anti-Theft setup is now complete.

To set up SMS Anti-Theft:

1. Start the Norton Mobile Security app.
2. Tap Set Up Anti-Theft.
3. Under SMS Anti-Theft Status, tap Setup.
4. Type your Anti-Theft password.
   Remember this password as you need it to use the Remote Lock, Remote Locate, or Remote Wipe features in case your device is stolen or lost. You will also need this password to unlock your device.
5. Re-type the password to confirm, and then tap Next.
6. Under Setup Trusted Buddies, tap the plus (+) sign to add your trusted friends to the buddy list.      If you forget your Anti-Theft password and your device is locked, your trusted buddies can unlock it. You must add at least one contact to the buddy list to continue.
7. Tap a contact from the contact list to add.
   You can add up to three friends to the buddy list.
8. When you are finished adding buddies, tap Next.
9. Tap Complete.
10. If you want to enable or disable any of the following Anti-Theft features, under SMS Anti-Theft Status, tap one of the icons:
    
    • Remote Scream
    • Remote Locate
    • Remote Lock
    • Remote Wipe
    • SIM Card Lock
    • Security Wipe
11. Type your Anti-Theft password and then tap OK.
12. Tap the checkbox next to the Anti-Theft features to enable or disable it.
