Norton Online Backup Reporting Incorrect Available Storage Space

Hello Wesley or other Technical People

I have purchased 68.0 GB of storage space on my account and my regular backup is only 6.50 GB in size. (i.e. Less than 10% of my potential total storage capacity)  However I am receiving warnings from NOBU that I am running out of storage space and that I have used 61.4 GB out of my 68 GB capacity!  How can this be possible?

I cannot purge any files because:

a. They only take up 6.50 GB as previously stated and all of these file are required

b. There are no other files to purge in the "ghost" space of about 55.0 GB.

So how do I clear or recover the approximately 55.0 GB of space that I am not using between 6.50 GB and 68.0 GB?

Please.....can you help???

Thank you.

Re: Norton Online Backup Reporting Incorrect Available Storage Space

Hello Cube,

Can you send me a private message containing the email address you use to login to the service and a link to this forum post? I'll have the account checked out to see if the quota of content already stored is correct. We may need to arrange a time to sit down with you and look over file selection. It's possible the file selection is grabbing more content than we realize. Since the file selection rules try to grab content based on extensions it may be picking up items you don't necessarily want or need.
