I want to be able to backup ANY file type without manual entering every different one. Is this possible?

Norton Online Backup's categories cover a broad range of common file types. You would only need to create custom rules or manually select files if they fall out of those categories. What specifically are you trying to backup? Also if the content is all stored in a common folder you can add that folder in from the same screen you select the categories.
