I rcd an email re:A new virus:

You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail titled   'Mail Server Report'

If you open either file, a message will appear on your screen saying:
'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful.'

Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC ,
And the person who sent it to you will gain access to your
name, e-mail and password.

This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon.
AOLhas  already confirmed the severity, and the anti virus software's are not capable of destroying it.

The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself
'life owner'.

PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS E-MAIL
TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS, And ask them to
PASS IT ON IMMEDIATELY!

THIS HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY SNOPES.

Is this a hoax?

Thx,

Phyllis

I would advise against Sending this e-mail to anyone, if what you're saying is true.  As always, Delete the e-mail or put it right in to your "Junk" Folder without Opening it.

if the type in Bold is the e-mail, then it looks like a hoax.  As always, don't Open any e-mails you were not expecting and if you don't know the "Name" of the E-mail Address or Name.

I rcd an email frm a friend of mine, telling me not to open one titled "Mail Server Report". Not THE email. My email program (I think) would send something like that to the "Junk" folder automatically and even if it didn't, since it's not from someone in my address book, I would delete it without opening it, anyway.

Thx for the input!
