Norton Security Inspector

When trying to install NSI on V16.1.0.33 of NIS 2009, the installer states that NSI cannot be installed on this version of NIS.

On my other two computers, I installed NSI prior to the 16.1.0.33 and it installed just fine.

I had the same results. I have NIS 2009, English version on my computer and Norton Security Inspector would not install.

It looks like NIS version 16.1.0.133 that was just released is not being recognized by the Security Inspector installer.  I have confirmed the Security Inspector works fine if it is installed over NIS 16.0 and then the 16.1.0.133 LU patch is applied.  We will look into the problem and try to get a new version that works with 16.1.0.133 posted soon.

I think that's a typo for 16.1.0.33 as the latest version of NIS2009.

Yeah, that was a typo.  I meant NIS 16.1.0.33

Anyway, we just posted a new build of Security Inspector that recognizes both NIS 16.1 and NIS 16.0.  Build 24 of Security Inspector should be live now and the problem should be resolved.

The 05-Dec-08 release resolved this issue on both my Vista SP1 Business system and XP-SP3 system.
