Galaxy Tab 2

Should SNAP work on my Samsung tablet as it does on their cell phones?  Running Android 4.0.4 and model is GT-P51113.  SNAP loaded (ver 1.0.0.29 (beta)) and appears to "work".  Trouble is that scanning QR code does not - no completion although it goes through the scan process with yellow dots blinking on and off in the camera version.  Tired many times with variation of focus length.

Re: Galaxy Tab 2

May have found a reason for trouble . Tried 3 different sized QR codes. Only the largest, at 1 1/16 inch on side, gave me a result. So the software works! The trouble may be the Galaxy's 3M camera and any autofocus it may or may not have. Snap control any focus on the tablet?

Re: Galaxy Tab 2

Snap uses the auto focus on the device. We had good results on the Asus Transformer tablet with its rear camera. It might be possible to add a fixed focus mode which could help.

Re: Galaxy Tab 2

I am only new to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 so I am no expert however I did manage to download Norton Snap and also get it to scan which I am presuming is what you want to do.

It took me a while to release that I had to hold the Tab about 12cm or so above the barcode that I wanted to scan and make sure it was inside the little box area in the middle of the Tab whilst at the same time keeping the Tab still.  It is like using a camera.
