Norton Tablet Security - Anti - Theft problem

[ Edited ]

I have bought the NTS however when i click on the anti theft part of the program it told me to download a separate application for that which i did.

After running the application it asked me to create an account - i did. Unfortunatley when I tried to login with the created account it replied with an error:

I have also tried accessing https://antitheft.norton.com but after logging in fromt he tablet it asked me for a product key - when i provided the NTS key it stated that the product key is invalid.

Please assist.

Thanks.

Daniel

Re: Norton Tablet Security - Anti - Theft problem

It looks like you're connected via Wifi.  Do you have a 3G connection as well or is this Wifi only?  What kind of internet connection do you have?  Where are you located (which country)?  Is this a Galaxy Tab?  What version of Android do you have installed (Go to Settings > About Tablet)?

In my Norton Account Product List Tablet Security is not mentioned, in the order history you can see the Tablet Security. I need your assistance. Thanks in advance.

Re: Norton Tablet Security - Anti - Theft problem

Hi Erik

I bought NTS on 7/3/12 for my Samsung Galaxyy 10.1 tablet and all was ok until a few days ago when the anti theft kept disabling. I was running android v 3.1 but upgraded to v 3.2 yesterday and now anti theft is not running at all! NTS advised to download and install anti theft from new Google market which I have done but when registering it says unable to do because registered to a different Norton account! Help me please because I am a technophobe:

Re: Norton Tablet Security - Anti - Theft problem

I bought NTS for my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet on 7/3/12 and all was OK until a few days ago when anti theft kept disabling! I was running android v 3.1 and upgraded to v3.2 last night, I now have no anti theft running at all, went on to NTS - anti theft listed but wants you to download and install again from apps market  (now Google play). I did as suggested but it won't register as it says android device registered to a different norton account!! Can you help this technophobe with this problem?

Like the first issue you saw, we are investigating this as well.  Would you be willing to generate logs as I suggest in this post?

Re: Norton Tablet Security - Anti - Theft problem

That's great news.  We released a fix for a different issue that looks like it might have fixed this (the registered error).  I'd prefer to wait for some secondary confirmation though.  After that we can look at the NAT is disabled issue as well.
