Hi there,
I just purchased a copy of NTS for my Versus Touchpad 7 and it installs and activates alright, however it does not display correctly so in effect is completely unusable, looking through the forums it seems that it has not been tested on 7" screens.
It is running on Android OS 4.0 (Ice cream sandwich)
Can you please advice me on how to get it to work or I will have to seek a full refund as I have only had it for about 5 hours so far.
Cheers,
Keiren Whitelock
PS. sorry about poor quality of photo had to use webcam, but you will get an idea as it looks identical to other users who have submitted pictures.

Hi Keirenwhitelock
Welcome to the Norton Community Forums.![]()
It sounds like you may have a resolution issue, because from what i can find
on the web the tablet you have only has a resolution of 800X480 pixels. That
would make it a similar resolution to some of the mobile phones on the market.
One thing you could try is to uninstall Norton Tablet Security and try installing
Norton Mobile Security from the Google Play Store here.
Or search for Norton Mobile Security using your Google Play app in the apps
menu on your tablet.
Test just the free version of Norton Mobile Security with out upgrading to see if
the app and the screens load properly. If it all works fine you might like to upgrade
to the full paid version of Norton Mobile Security and get a refund for NTS.
If you purchased Norton Tablet Security from the Norton Online Store and would
like a full refund Symantec Norton provides a 60 day refund policy for all products.
You can contact Norton Support Live Chat for free from this link.
Fill in the required info and follow the steps and select Chat Now if needed. And
just explain your issue.
They are great at resolving issues with subscriptions and refunds. Make sure
you have the confirmation email handy from the purchase of NTS.
If you purchased Norton Tablet Security from a retail store you can again contact
Norton Support Live Chat for free here and again explain the issue and they will
tell you how to go about getting a refund.
Keep us posted and let us know how you go. :-)

Ok after a very long-winded and confusing chat with your chat support team, it seems that i need to wait until version 3.0 of Tablet Support comes out (for people who did not purchase 2.5 from Google Play) and that will have the option to change resolution.
So I've got possibly a week or so to wait to see if it will update itself and work.
Seriously though you need to put resolution requirements on the box and if the development team was not aware of it then thats a pretty serious oversight isn't it?! Like a car manufacturer who releases a new model only for customers to find out that it can only be filled with petrol from one brand of petrol company because they neglected to check if other brands infact work.........product recall!
I just hope that this update will solve the problem.
Will keep you updated.

Hi Keiren
I understand it can be frustrating. :-(
Hopefully the release of Norton Tablet Security 3.0 will resolve your issue. :-)
.
I look forward to the release as well for my tablet running NTS version 2.5.
Thanks for keeping us posted and let us know how you go when NTS 3.0
is released and weather or not it fixes the resolution issue.

Just a quick update for anyone reading this thread, as there appears to have been a firmware problem with some Versus Touchpad 7 and 9s. This was pointed out by jimmy77 in this post in another thread. His post also points the way to getting the firmware updated.
