Hi cmedina.

To help us better respond to your problem can you please give us a bit more detail.

Exactly what Norton Product are you trying to download and from where?

Do you have any other Norton products loaded on your tablet?

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi cmedina

There has been a similar issue recently with users trying to download and install Norton

Anti-Theft for tablets running the Norton mobile product being Norton Tablet Security.

The message i and other Android tablet users were getting was in the screenshot below

taken of the Norton Anti-Theft page in Google Play Store.

The meassage in the Play Store was showing after tapping the box which reads-

Download and install Norton Anti-Theft

The link or box is in the Anti-Theft part of the  Norton Tablet Security control panel on the

Android tablet when NAT or Norton Anti-Theft is not installed as the screenshot shows below-

Is this similar or the same as what you see on your tablet being the device is'nt

compatible message.?

If it is the same issue it may be a server problem of Google Play.

Maybe you have a different issue to what we have seen in the past.?

As Andmike posted more information would be very usefull for us to try and assist you

with this issue so you can use the full Norton security package for your Acer tablet.

Cheers.:smileywink:

EDIT- Add screenshot.  :-)

Re: Norton tablet anti theft

Hi cmedina

You might have to try to install NAT from time to time as it may be a

temporary issue with the GooglePlay Store servers which will be fixed.

And hopefully a Symantec Norton employee might be able to have a

look into the issue you have as they might have to do a fix at thier end.

Keep us posted on how you go.

Cheers. :smileywink:

Re: Norton tablet anti theft

I was on the phone with Symantec tech support for over an hour. They said my device Acer iconia tab 200 will not work with this add on. I am a technician with 30 years under my belt. I don't buy this BS. I have tried it through google play and a browser. I also contacted Acer. I still get the run around. I have been working to find a solution for this problem. When I do I will let you know.

Re: Norton tablet anti theft

Are you trying to download from Google Play on your tablet or on your PC?  If the PC, try from your tablet.  Normally that compatibility message is actually not due to compatibility.

Re: Norton tablet anti theft

I was told by symantec tech support that my tablet is not able to use the anti theft plug in. I was told it was a hardware problem. I really think it's a problem with the software since there are a lot of tablets are using the Tegra 2 processor. Will look for a different solution. Thanks for all the help.
