I recently purchased NTS for a new tablet. I purchased on the computer then went to my account and downloaded NTS using my tablet. Everything worked fine until I went to activate, after accepting the terms and conditions I am taken to a black screen with a white bar in the center with the word exit. I do not have a field to enter in my security key. I have tried scrolling and tapping every inch of the screen but could not find anything that was hidden. Please help. Thanks

Hi Sharp.
Welcome to the community, sorry you are having problems.
You say that you "recently" purchased NTS. Just how recently may be the key. There have been some updates recently that appear to have solved issues such as this. Can you either try downloading the latest version and trying again or can you tell us which version you currently have?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Good luck.

Hi Sharp
Try using the default Tablet Browser and the web address below
and not your Norton Account to downlaod the NTS apk file.
Use the following address to download directly from Norton-
Then follow the prompts to install and activate your Norton
Tablet Security product.
It might be worth a try.![]()
Cheers![]()
PS Before you do this you will have to uninstall the previous
installation of NTS. :-)

Andmike
Thanks for the reply. I purchased the tablet security last weekend and did an uninstall and reinstall this weekend hoping something had been fixed. No love, same problem.

Hi Sharp
Thought it might be worth a try as i purchased my version of NTS from a retail
store and was not to sure exactly how the Norton Online Store purchased NTS
operated with it's downlaods of the NTS apk file, but it appears both forms of
purchase use the same location to download the apk file. :)
Sorry i cannot help perhaps it might just be a compatibility issue with the particular
tablet you are using.????
Do you have any Norton Mobile Products installed on the tablet? perhaps something
like NAT might interfere with the installation of NTS? And it might require you to uninstall
NAT and reinstall it when NTS is installed and activated.
Cheers.![]()

Hi Sharp
Just relised the version of Android that your Tablet uses is it still
Android 2.1.?? Just had a look at the Kyros website for similar tablets
and it shows one with the specs of 2.1 as the operating system
Menu- Settings-About Tablet- Android Version??
Just looked at my retail pack for NTS and it says on the back
System Requirements
Operating System- 2.2 or later
Same details of requirements are on the Norton Online Store.
If you have the particular model i found on the website Coby Kryos
MID 7005 then it should not be compatible with NTS, but perhaps
you have a newer model Coby 7 inch tablet with a later version of
the Android operating system?
What model?
Let us know if this is the case.
Cheers :)
PS Don't know how i overlooked this as a possibilty of the issue.

Hi Smithy
I have the MID7012 with Android 2.3.3 and plenty of memory. I am about to the point of asking for a refund on the NTS, I only purchased the tablet to use as a internet radio. I think I will give it one more week to see if anyone has a solution.
Thanks for the help.

Hi Sharp,
Sorry you are still having problems.
I do not know the Coby Kryos and cannot tell you if others have tried and succeeded where so far you have failed.
What I have found is a number of posts on the net from users of the 7012 who have problems getting various apps to work. So it might be a device specific problem.
Sadly neither Coby nor Norton are likely to issue any new fixes this year. However Norton have a very fair refund policy which allows you to get a full refund within 60 days of purchase. So you might like to wait until mid January before cashing in your chips. That should give Coby a chance to issue a fix if they are going to, and also for Norton Staff to pick up these postings and see if there is anything they can see which would cause this problem on your device, and hopefully fix it.
Good luck.
