Questions about Tablet Security

Hello,

I am considering getting Norton Tablet Security for an Asus tablet running ICS,

Just wondering how efficiently NTS runs on android, how much is battery life affected, how much ram does it use during normal operation.

                                  Thanks

Re: Questions about Tablet Security

Hello kwh0172.

Welcome to the Community.

I cannot answer your question from experience or directly from reports as I am only aware of one person who has posted here having run ICS on an ASUS.  In that case there was no mention of any problems with battery life or memory usage.  I would certainly not expect NTS to have a noticeable impact on the memory of an ASUS tablet.  I would also not expect it to have a serious impact on the battery life.

Norton appear to have a very generous refund policy.  It appears to normally be the case that if you ask for a refund within 60 days of purchase (with a valid reason) then you get a full refund.  So why not try NTS and monitor its memory and battery usage.  Then you could report the results back here - thus helping possible future users - and if you are not happy you could stop using it and seek a full refund!

I hope that helps.

If you have any further questions please feel free to come back.

Re: Questions about Tablet Security

Hello,

I have an Asus Transformer Prime running ICS and I'm looking in the list of battery using apps now, and Norton is on the very bottom (indicating that it has very little impact on my battery life). I also notice no performance degradation at all, except for maybe an additional 1 second between when I click to install and app and when it installs. While running there is virtually no performance impact for me.
