Bought a Samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 .
In the app store is Norton Table Security. Since we use Norton I thought this would be great for my tablet. Until I clicked on Download and install Norton anti-theft and get this message: Your device isn't compatible with this version.
So my questions are: why isn't my tablet compatible and is there a way to make it compatible?
It would be great if Norton could list the devices not compatible with the anti-theft and offer a solution!
Should I download Prey Anti-theft?

Hi rogfamily
Welcome to the Norton Community Forum.![]()
I think this is a temporary issue with the Google Play servers.
Norton Antitheft is compatible with the Galaxy Tab as far as
i know.
I have the same issue with my Moto Xoom running ICS. Was
told in another post Symantec Norton will fix the issue ASAP.
I beleive it has something to do with a new version of NAT being
released a few days ago to Google Play.
Try and download NAT from time to time and i am sure the issue
will be fixed.
Let us know how you go, and i will post back here when i see that
the issue has been fixed on Moto Xoom Tablet.
Cheers.![]()

Hi originally.
Welcome to the Community.
You have posted your question in the Norton Anti-Theft forum but as your question appears to be about Norton Tablet Security I will ask for it to be transferred there for better visibility and so that you can get the best possible response. Do not worry that you may loose it as a link will remain in the original place.
I do not know why you are unable to download Norton Tablet Security for your Galaxy Tab as I would have expected it to be compatible. There may be a temporary problem with the "app store" so you may like to just try later and see if that solves the problem. You do not say which "app store" and I believe that Samsung offer an app store as well as "Google Play". Have you tried via both sources? The other option it to try and get it directly from Norton which you should be able to do at this link. The link assumes that you are in the US. If you are not you may like to do a local Google search for "Norton Tablet Security". However the above link does give the system requirements which seem to match your device.
I hope that helps. Please come back and let us know if this has helped or not. If not we will try again.
[Edit - sorry about overposting smithy. We were obviously both typing at the same time!]

NAT- sorry i dont know what that is

Hello again rogfamily.
NAT is short for Norton Anti-Theft which is a product that can help you find a lost device. It works via a web interface and can work with PC, laptops, tablets etc. It was in the Norton Anti-Theft (or NAT) forum that you first posted your enquiry (and I see have posted it again).
However you appear to be asking about Norton Tablet Security (also referred to as NTS) which should be suitable for protecting your device from malware. And it is NTS that is the subject of this forum.
Does that help?

Just to clarify. Norton Tablet Security (NTS) is not posted to Google Play, but the Norton AntiTheft (NAT) plugin is. Are you asking about NTS or NAT? If it's NAT, there is an issue with the current posting of NAT that the team is working on addressing. During the publishing process it seems that impacts Tablets. NTS is compatible with your particular tablet. If you are talking about NTS, we'll need more detail to determine what is happening.

The issue with NAT was just posted. It may take up to a couple hours to replicate on Google's servers. Please let us know if you're still experiencing an issue.
