Norton Tablet Security

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet.  I also got sold Norton 360 Everywhere software.

The software says that it is for tablets.  But there is very litte information regarding this.

I downloaded the software from your website and it downloaded. 

However, it doesn't do anything once it downloads.  It just gives an error that it cannot open the file.

I tried looking for manuals and online tech support, but there doesn't seem to be any information about norton 360 Everywhere.  So no help.

I tried going to the site for the mobile version, but couldn't get to that site.

Have I got the right version?  if so, how do I install it?

Welcome to the Norton Community Forums.

When the download is complete if you tap the Notification bar bottom right hand corner of the

Tab screen does it show as a successfull download?

How are you opening the download ? from the Notification Bar ? or by using the Downloads

app.? Or a third party file app or the Samsung File app.?

I gather it is a retail pack as it was sold to you along with the device.

If it was a retail package you could try the following steps-

These instructions are for first time install of the retail product Norton 360 Everywhere

that has not yet been registered to a Norton Account or installed on any devices.

With the retail pack you have purchased of N360E use the QR code or the URL provided

with the package or the link below and download and install the N360E apk file.

Use this link below if you are viewing this with your Galaxy Tab browser-

 http://www.norton.com/nms-n360e

Or type the URL manually into the address bar in the Galaxy Tab browser.

Open and install the download of NMS and when asked to Activate Now enter the 25

digit product key with no spaces.

Then if the user already  has a Norton Account login with those details when asked 

or create a new Norton Account to register the product and device.

You will have to enable either the Application or Security settings ( depends if it is a

Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwich OS) to allow Non Market application installs.

Thanks for your response.

I tried doing as you suggest.  However, when I go to norto.com/nms-n360e, it redirects me to another site, which tells me to scan the picture (which I don't know how to do on the tablet) or got to norton.com/NMS-N360E

 This then redirects me to the same url. - ww.norton.mobi/lp/nms-n360e/english.html

I can't download anything from here.

Are you using your tablet or computer to navigate?

Hi again

Are you using the Tablet or a PC with the link or the URL supplied.?

If you are using a PC to access the URL or link  you need to use the Android

device being the Galaxy Tab.

When the link-

  http://www.norton.com/nms-n360e

or the URL  is used it should direct you to a web page to choose the language

of choice you may need to scroll down on that page as the options tend to stay

at the bottom,choose the language  then it will direct you to the NMS apk download

website for N360E on the Norton servers.
